Kennel cough is a very widespread illness associated with dogs. If your dog is constantly coughing either all day or for a couple of minutes in the day then they may be infected. At this point it is time to get treatment for kennel cough.

Normally kennel cough is contracted though the air when your dog breathes in the virus. They can also catch the virus by coming into contact with other dogs; for example playing with other dogs in the park.

If your dog already has kennel cough then think about home treatments for it. One such treatment is the use of natural ingredients; this includes herbal medicine known for clearing up mucus.

If it is your puppy that has the disease then a simple treatment for the illness is putting him in your bathroom while using Vicks to vaporize the room. Do these twice daily for one week for 20-30 minutes each time.

Please note that if after using your home treatment for kennel cough the illness still persists after one week then you must take the dog/puppy to the local vet.
