Following up on my earlier postings on how I have detected fleas on my dogs and the actions I took to remove them and applying Frontline on them, I am glad to update you that I have not found anymore fleas or ticks on Jack and Ruby.
What have I been doing for the past weeks?
Well, I actually do a body search with my hands on Jack and Ruby and even twice yesterday, in the morning and afternoon. When I feel a soft lump, I will part the hair and determine if there is a flea or even a tick there. If there is one, I will take it off and kill it.
Besides the body searches, I also cleaned their crates daily and let them out in the sun to dry. I cleaned the car porch where they spend all their time and apply a spray that I bought. It was recommended by the pet shop where I bought Frontline. The spray can be used on the dogs too but I prefer Frontline and I use the spray on the crates and beddings and the car porch in the event that the fleas or ticks dropped off their bodies.
Maintaining a clean and hygenic environment will defintiely help to keep these parasites at bay. Of course, daily and proper grooming regime should be part of the plan too. I have also stopped walking them to unfamiliar places around my estate, to be on the safer side.
Well, I hope you have found the above and my previous postings on this matter helpful.
Have a good day with your doggies…..
David
